This listing is for a set of twelve clear straight glass straws that are perfect for drinking just about anything. If you are looking to fit a specific cup contact me with measurements.
Each straw is:
- approximately 8.5 inches (custom lengths available upon request)
- diameter is 7mm or 9mm
- Made from high quality Simax borosilicate glass tubing which is high heat resistant and dishwasher safe (like Pyrex brand glass)
I began making glass straws for myself for various reasons, but mainly because they are non-toxic and I was tired of trying to recycle single use plastic straws. Plastic straws are not only damaging to the environment due to ending up in landfills and the ocean, but many plastics have been found to leach chemicals which can end up in your drink and your body. Since I get so many people asking me for them I would love to help others lessen their dependence on plastics by offering a glass straw option.
Please keep in mind that while these straws are very durable, glass can break! If your straw breaks please do not continue using a straw with a sharp broken end as it may cut you or continue to chip off pieces into your drinks. If your straw breaks please contact me for a discounted replacement.
I strongly recommend rinsing or cleaning your straw immediately after use to avoid hard to remove residue. Straw cleaners are available in stores and on the internet but a pipe cleaner can also work in a pinch.
