Bent Glass Straw
This listing is for one bent clear glass reusable straw that is perfect for drinking just about anything. This straw is made from an 8.5 in length of tubing with a 45 degree bend on the end so it sits at about 8 inches tall. If you are looking to fit a specific cup contact me with measurements.
This glass straw is:
- approximately 8.5 inches (custom lengths available upon request)
- diameter is 7mm or 9mm
- Made from high quality Simax borosilicate glass tubing which is high heat resistant and dishwasher safe (like Pyrex brand glass)
I began making glass straws for myself for various reasons, but mainly because they are non-toxic and I was tired of trying to recycle single use plastic straws. Plastic straws are not only damaging to the environment due to ending up in landfills and the ocean, but many plastics have been found to leach chemicals which can end up in your drink and your body. Since I get so many people asking me for them I would love to help others lessen their dependence on plastics by offering a glass straw option here on Etsy.
Please keep in mind that while these straws are very durable, glass can break! If your straw breaks in your drink it is important not to finish your beverage as you do not want to risk drinking glass fragments. Also, please do not continue using a straw with a sharp broken end as it may cut you or continue to chip off pieces into your drinks. If your straw breaks please contact me for a discounted replacement.
I strongly recommend rinsing or cleaning your straw immediately after use to avoid hard to remove residue, especially after smoothies. You can also add a straw cleaner to your order but a pipe cleaner can also work in a pinch.
