Clear Straight Glass Straw
This listing is for one straight clear glass reusable drinking straw that is perfect for drinking just about anything.
This straw is:
- approximately 8.5 inches in length (custom lengths available upon request)
- diameter is 7mm or 9mm
- Made from high quality Simax borosilicate glass tubing which is high heat resistant and dishwasher safe
I began making glass straws for myself for various reasons, but mainly because they are non-toxic and I was tired of trying to recycle single use plastic straws. Plastic straws are not only damaging to the environment due to ending up in landfills and the ocean, but many plastics have been found to leach chemicals which can end up in your drink and your body. I also prefer clear glass straws because you can always be confident that they are clean before use.
Please keep in mind that while these straws are very durable, glass can break! If your straw breaks in your drink it is important not to finish your beverage as you do not want to risk drinking glass fragments. Also, please do not continue using a straw with a sharp broken end as it may cut you or continue to chip off pieces into your drinks. If your straw breaks please contact me for a discounted replacement.
I strongly recommend rinsing or cleaning your straw immediately after use to avoid hard to remove residue. I usually rinse with hot water and then put them in the dishwasher with my silverware. Straw cleaners are available but a pipe cleaner can also work in a pinch.
